Graduated from Po Kok Buddhist Society, she received sponsorship to pursue advanced studies in Japan, and became the principal of both the Po Kok Primary and Secondary School

Venerable Kok On graduated from Po Kok Buddhist Society and started teaching at Po Kok School in the 1940s. She went to the University of Tokyo in Japan for further studies from 1957 to 1962. In 1963, Venerable Kok On became the principal of Po Kok School (primary and Secondary) and a board member of Tung Lin Kok Yuen in 1967.

Venerable Kok On retired from the position of the principal of Po Kok School in 1983, having accomplished her nearly 40-year teaching career.
