The first cohort of graduated student from the Po Kok Buddhist Society, the teacher of Po Kok Free School, contribute her life to Tung Lin Kok Yuen
Venerable Ching Zhen has devoted herself to Hong Kong Buddhism since her graduation from the Po Kok Buddhist Society. She became one of the members in the early establishment of Hong Kong Buddhist Association to rebuild Hong Kong Buddhism after WWII. She was also deeply devoted to education and enthusiastic about the goal of integrating Buddhist teachings into education.
Venerable Ching Zhen followed the teachings of Venerable Ai Ting and was one of the first cohorts of students to graduate from the Po Kok Buddhist Society. After WWII, Madam Lam Ling Chun invited Venerable Ching Zhen to work for the Hong Kong Buddhist Association. She was hired as a teacher by the Buddhist Chung Wah Free School and officially registered in 1948. During her approximately 40-year career teaching Buddhism and Chinese, she served several schools, including Buddhist Chung Wah Free School, Po Kok Primary School, Buddhist Wong Fung Ling College, and Buddhist Wong Cheuk Um Primary School.
