In 1935, “The Thailand Study Group” organized by Master Taixu planned to travel from Shanghai to Thailand via Hong Kong. Lady Clara graciously accommodated the group at Tung Lin Kok Yuen.
In 1935, Master Taixu attended the welcome event organized by Tung Lin Kok Yuen and gave a speech about “The relation between Upasaka Education and Buddhist Family”.
Madam Lam Ling Chun, the 2nd Superintendent of the Yuen and the Principle of Po Kok School, Lady Victoria Jubilee Ho, Dr. Irene Cheng Ho Tung, and, assembly of teachers and students are shown at the 4th roll from the bottom in the photo.
Periodical
“Light of Humankind”, was published in 1934, initiated by Master Tai Xu and started publishing by Tung Lin Kok Yuen since 1935.
“Propagation of Buddhism in Po Kok” commenced publication in 1941. Due to the World War Two, the publication was suspended after Issue no.2 .
In 1953, it was resumed as a quarterly publication. In 1960, “Po Kok” was transformed from a quarterly journal to an annual publication, and eventually permanently suspend publication in 1965.
Publication
“Travelogue on Famous Mountain” was published in 1934, mainly recorded the inspiration during the visiting of famous mounts of Lady Clara, and also her vision of promoting Buddhism in Hong Kong.
Madam Kong was invited by Sir Man Kam Lo and Madam Lam Ling Chun to develop the syllabus and the Buddhist textbook that are suitable for the syllabus of HKCEE.
Buddhist Studies was listed as one of the elective subjects in the HKCEE in 1960.

The picture is the agenda of the 94th Board Meeting of Tung Lin Kok Yuen in 1971.
Correspondence
Tung Lin Kok Yuen has been granted a piece of land by the government for the proposed construction of a vocational school for girls. Madam Lam Ling Chun, who was the Principal of Po Kok School at the time, has made an appeal to The Hong Kong Jockey Club for donations.
